Optimization Technique for Ed&pe

The interdisciplinary nature of complex design poses the challenge of computational burden due to complexity of the problem. In view of this a design methodology has been proposed in this work. The primary goal of the proposed methodology is to simplify and shorten the design process. Within this work a framework is presented in which modelling, multiobjective optimisation and multi criteria decision making techniques are used to design an engineering system. Various steps of the proposed methodology are presented and a case study of design of permanent magnet brushless DC motor (BLDC) drive is also presented.
